These polymer cllay earrings are fairly durable, but they are a clay and can break if they are bent too far.  They are lightly sanded, buffed, and a small amount of museum-grade wax is washed across the surface to protect them. If you get make-up on them, just use a soft cloth or a little witch hazel and they will clean right up.
